Alicia A friend, co-worker, supervisor and a colleague. We worked together for many many years. Through the journey we shared many good memories and good times, even called ourselves “the dinosaurs” since we had been at Tech the longest. We laughed a lot together and you were always there to help figure things out. Thank you for being a friend when I needed one. You will be missed. Never forgotten and always in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Barbara Gonzales

Alicia was a pocketful of energy! She literally had more energy than any of our employees in my 33 years at tech. Her smile and laugh were infectious. She was a wealth of information for all of our students and guests who passed by her office in Bledsoe hall. She was like a mother to all of those young men and they loved her like she was their own mother. No doubt they were better behaved because they didn’t want to disappoint Mrs. Alicia. You were so blessed to have her as your (grand)mother and loved one. No doubt God couldn’t wait one day longer to get her sweet spirit up there with him. I will miss her very very much. I won’t be able to be with you guys for her service but I send my love and blessings and will be with you in spirit. With love, Mark McVay, retired Associate Managing Housing Facilities Director

Sorry for the loss of your Mother, Grandmother . Alicia was the sweetest, nicest person. She was my supervisor for almost 8 wonderful years but I considered her more then just a supervisor. She was the reason I stayed working when I first started working at Texas Tech. Still in shock after hearing of her passing she was such a strong person She will be greatly missed . Stay strong because that’s what she would’ve wanted
