Obituary of Jerry Don Patterson
Graveside services for Jerry Don Patterson, 73, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 24, 2017, in the Abernathy Cemetery. The family will gather to receive friends at Abell Funeral Home from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm Friday, June 23, 2017. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
Mr. Patterson died Monday, June 19, 2017 in Lubbock, TX.
He was born November 5, 1943 in Derma, Mississippi, to Roy Glen and Nannie Lou (Johnson) Patterson. He was raised in Lubbock, graduating from Lubbock High School in 1964. He enlisted in the US Navy following High School and served during the Vietnam conflict on a destroyer, USS Rowan as a Radar Technician.
He was preceded in death by his Mother,Nannie Lou Patters, Father, Roy Glen Patterson and a brother, Glen Wayne Patterson.
He is survived by a son, Chris Patterson and wife Camille of New Deal, TX, 4 grandchildren, Brandon Patterson, Jonathan Patterson, Zak Warfel and Mary Warfel all of Lubbock, and a brother, Doyle "Pat" Patterson of Murfreesboro, TN, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
