Let me express my condolences to you in the loss of a wonderful lady. Growing up down the street from Leland and Annie, I saw them lots of times whether it was in their yard, driving by our house, at town gatherings or knocking on their door trying to sell them magazine subscriptions to earn money for the school band which Annie always purchased. She was a kind, gracious and thoughtful person who was always doing for others. I know many people were blessed to know her and she will be missed by many. When I see her picture, that is exactly how I have always remembered her. God bless you.

Leland and Annie were one of those special couples to Carley and I. When we moved to Abernathy and bought the funeral home, we began to make some changes to fit our ideals. While some within the community questioned our motives and needs for the changes, it was Leland and Annie that always showed support of us and our family. Maybe they did have their concerns about us also, but it never showed. Over the years, we have been through many of life's changes with Annie, the death of Leland, her moving to Golden Estates where mom also lived for a short time, to Wilshire Place, where Annie, Mom, Lavonne Hinkson and Claudine Embry became table mates and fast friends, to moving the last time to Wilshire on 4th. Annie's quick wit and great sense of humor always kept me on my toes around her! What a special lady! Jerry and Lyn, our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Our beautiful Annie. She was always the life of the party with a ready smile and a very quick wit. I can remember growing up going to Leland and Annie's house on the corner in Abernathy. Annie was a sweet soul and will be missed by so many. In her 105 years, she saw a lot, but also inspired and supported so many of us. Love to you, Jerry and Lynn!!!!
