Graveside services for Evaristo Sanchez, 73, of Hale Center, TX were held at 10:00 am Friday, July 28, 2006, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Chaplain Leonel Gonzalez, officiating. Services were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX.
Mr. Sanchez died Tuesday evening, July 25, 2006, in Plainview, TX.
He was born November 15, 1932 in Hays County, TX, to Pantaleon and Refugia Sanchez. He has lived in Hale County for the past 54 years, moving from Dawson County, TX. He was a farmer and Baptist.
He is survived by 2 sons; Gilbert Rodriguez of Lockney, TX and Joe Sanchez of Plainview, TX, 3 daughters, Rene Melendrez of Hale Center, TX, Kay Underwood of Lubbock, TX and Esmerelda Garcia of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Daniel of Bryan, TX and Ambrosio of San Antonio, TX, a sister, Conception Salazar of Abernathy, TX 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
