Services for Minnie V. Presley, 86, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2003, in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with Rev. John Lowrie, pastor, officiating.
Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX.
Mrs. Presley died Monday, January 13, 2003, in Lubbock, TX.
She was born on February 4, 1916 in Goree, TX. She moved to Slaton with her family in 1921, and graduated Union School, west of Slaton. She married R. D. Presley on January 24, 1933 in Slaton, TX, and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1992. She and her husband farmed in the County Line, TX community until moving to Abernathy in 1974. She had been a member of the County Line Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years, and was presently a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church.

1 daughter, Angela Pope and her husband Milton of Abernathy, TX.
1 sister, Christine Day of Clovis, N.M.
1 brother, George Gamble of Slaton, TX.
8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren,
