Obituary of Ruth Harrison

Services for Ruth Harrison, 99, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 31, 2002, in the Hale Center Church of Christ with Silas Short officiating. LaDell Harrison, grandson of the deceased, assisted. Burial followed services in the Hale Center Cemetery under the dircection of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mrs. Harrison died Wednesday, August 28, 2002, in Lubbock, TX. She was born on October 25, 1902 in Texola, TX. She married C. M. Harrison in 1921 in Idalou, TX. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1971. She moved to Hale Center in 1944 and was an avid quilter and raised chickens and loved to can foods. She was a member of the Hale Center Church of Christ. 1 son preceded her in death, E. T. Harrison on January 12, 1999, and a grandson Ronald Bart Stephenson on June 30, 1997. She is survived by 2 sons, Rex Harrison of Hale Center, TX and Curtis Eldon Harrison of Lubbock, TX. 1 daughter; Frances Louise Stephenson of Odessa, TX. 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
