Obituary of Shirley Garcia

Services for Shirley Ann Garcia, 61, of Cotton Center, TX, were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in the First Baptist Church in Cotton Center, TX, with Rev. J.D. Templeton officiating. Burial followed in the Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Garcia died Sunday, July 23, 2006 in Lubbock, TX. She was born April 14, 1945 to George and Lillie Marie Johnson in Marble, Arkansas. She moved to Cotton Center, TX in 1955 and married Gonzalo Garcia, Jr. on November 1, 1975 in Abernathy, TX. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her husband Gonzalo Garcia, Jr. of Cotton Center, TX, a daughter, Julia Marie De Los Santos of Cotton Center, TX, a son, Roger Ryan Ray of Plainview, TX, 8 grandchildren Robert Royce De Los Santos, Shiann Angel De Los Santos, Alianna Narie Juarez, Kimberly Berry, Kayla Ray, Ricky Ray, Brandy Pierce, and Curtis Floyd, 2 great grandchildren Zoey Berry and Kira Pierce. She is also survived by 3 brothers, Leslie Johnson of Pine Bluff, Ark, Bobby Johnson of Freeport, Ind, David Johnson of Ft. Worth, TX and a sister, Faye Marie Whorton of West Helena, Ark Abell Funeral Home
