Obituary of Nadine Attebury

Graveside services for Nadine Attebury, 86, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in the Idalou Cemetery with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Ms. Attebury died Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. Nadine lived in Abernathy and graduated Abernathy High School in 1955. She worked as a telephone operator after high school. She attended Draughon's Business College, then worked at West Texas Hospital. She was baptized at College Ave. Baptist Church and later attended Center Community Church. She loved to read and had an amazing memory. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward, Buck and Wayne Attebury, sisters-in-law, Mary Attebury and Liz Attebury and a nephew, Sam Sturdivant. Nadine is survived by 2 brothers, Wade Attebury and wife Alice and Pat Attebury all of Abernathy, A sister-in-law, Joan Attebury of Lubbock, TX, nieces and nephews, Kelly Attebury and wife Gay, Lezlie Henson, Kenny Attebury and wife Phyllis, Terry Attebury and wife Beth, Curt Attebury, DeeAnn Evans and husband Perry, Angie Gentry, Kristie Bottoni and husband John and Tracy Bielss and husband Brian and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Daniel of Beyond Faith Hospice for his special care in recent years.
