Obituary of Juanita Coronado Nava

Rosary for Juanita Coronado Nava, 74, of Abernathy, TX, will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Wood, pastor, officiating. Viewing will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, at the Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 8, 2022, in the same Church with the same officiant. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mrs. Nava died Friday, December 31, 2021, in Lubbock, TX. She was born November 24, 1947 in Satin, Falls County, TX to Mariano and Josephina (Martinez) Coronado. She married Reynaldo Mora Nava in 1984. Juanita grew up in Abernathy and lived a short time in Dallas, TX before returning to Abernathy. Following the death of her husband, Reynaldo, January 1, 2019, She moved to Brownfield to be closer to her son. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and was a woman devoted to the love and care of her family. Mrs. Nava is survived by a son, Reynaldo Nava II and wife Amy of Brownfield, TX, a sister, Julia Villanueva of Abernathy and 3 grandchildren, Rihanna, Aubree and Remi Nava, all of Brownfield.
