My family and I never lived close to West Texas so I didn’t have too many occasions to be with Aunt Betty. But on December 10, 2005 we were home for my mother-in-laws funeral. That evening, I was wanting to attend the candlelight tour at the National Ranching Heritage Center. My husband Frank said, “ Call Aunt Betty, I’ll bet she’d go with you.” And so I did. And she accepted. We dressed in our winter layers and ventured to Lubbock. It was a beautiful, crystal clear, cold night. But the cold did not deter us. It was a walk through history. Betty shared with me some of her memories of growing up in West Texas and I loved hearing her stories. The tour ended in the Four Sixes barn with a cup of hot chocolate. That evening with Betty is a stand out memory for me. What an inspiration she was to me. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom. Gods peace is yours. Sincerely, Rhonda Reagan
