Sitdia Lane Dees (Lane Trusler) 65, of Springlake, TX, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, in Lubbock, TX. Cremation services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop Abernathy, TX, She was born March 20, 1955 in Lubbock to Glenn Raymond and Betty May (McGaugh) Dees. She was raised in Abernathy, TX, where she graduated Abernathy High School, and earned her Associates Degree from Lubbock Christian University. She worked as a nursing home auditor for Summitt corporation for many years. She had lived in Arkansas for 4 years, and moved to Springlake in 1989. She was a collector, loved crafts and her animals. Lane was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Raymond Dees and a sister, Valerie Cross. She is survived by her son, Jody Burress of Abilene, TX, mother, Betty Johnson of Abernathy, a granddaughter, Erika Burress of Tuscola, Tx 2 grandsons, Steven Burress and Antonio Romero both of Abilene and a great grandson, Logan Cargill of Tuscola, Tx 2 brothers, Victor Dees of Abernathy, TX and Jerry Dees of Bullard, Tx. The family suggests memorials to the Lubbock Animal Shelter or to your local animal shelter.
