Obituary of Bobby Joe Perkins

Graveside services for Bobby Joe Perkins, 81, of Littlefield, TX, will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in the Abernathy Cemetery, Abernathy, TX. The family will gather to receive friends on Saturday, August 1, 2020, from 10:00am - 10:45am. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Perkins died Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in Littlefield. Bobby was born on May 8, 1939 in Henrietta, TX to George Washington & Velma (Ashton) Perkins. He married Francis Chastain on March 11, 1957 in Abernathy. Joe farmed in the West Texas area his entire life. He enjoyed welding, John Deere tractors, old cars, pick-ups and motorcycles. You could often find him relaxing with a good tobacco pipe. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. Joe is survived by his wife Francis Perkins of Lubbock, TX, son Rodney Perkins and wife, Esther of Amarillo, daughter Vicki Campbell of Lubbock, 4 grandchildren Terrell Campbell and wife, Amanda, of Littlefield, Andrew Perkins and Elizabeth Perkins both of Amarillo, and Tristan Chancey of Lubbock, 6 great grandchildren Jerin, Avaley, Taylor, Everhett, Emma, and Elliot, along with several nieces & nephews.
