Obituary of Janie M. Garza

Rosary for Janie M. Garza, 86 of Abernathy, TX, will be recited 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 24, 2019. in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Wood, pastor officiating.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2019, in the same church with the same officiant.

Ms. Garza died in Clovis, NM on September 22, 2019.

She was born August 21, 1933 in Runge, TX to Victor and Susie (Molina) Mansanales. She married Israel Garza December 17, 1955 in Lubbock, TX. Janie and her husband, Israel, were founding members of the St. Isidore Catholic Church in Abernathy, where she was one of the founding members of the the Guadalupanas. Janie enjoyed being involved in the various church activities, and was a very proud Grandmother & Great Grandmother. 

She is preceded in death by her parents,  husband, Israel Garza December 30, 2002,  and 2 siblings, Ray Mansanales and Eloisa Casarez.

She is survived by 2 sons, Israel Garza, Jr. and Sue of Dallas, TX and Victor Garza and Isabel of Odessa, TX, 2 daughters Lisa Garza of Canyon, TX and Susann Romero and Vince of Clovis, NM, 6 grandchildren Libby Rodriguez, Sam Garza, Joshua Garza, Mara Garza, Ivan Romero, and Olivia Romero, 2 great grandchildren Gabriela Kate Rodriguez and Cruze Cial Rodriguez, and 3 siblings Adon Mansanales, Mary Helen Briseño, and Leroy Mansanales.
