Obituary of Lola Jones
Funeral services for Lola Jones, 62, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 4, 2017, in the First United Methodist Church with Brother Travis Zachary officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
Mrs. Jones died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Lubbock, TX.
She was born to Lloyd H. Jones and June Beth Thompson, December 24, 1954 in Lubbock. She graduated Amherst High School in 1973, had been a member of the Rebekah Lodges in Abernathy and Muleshoe, TX. She attended The Refuge Church in Lubbock and was employed by the Lubbock KOA campground. She had a big heart and never met a stranger, loved ducks and was known for her line, "Love Ya Bunches".
Lola was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Jones in 2002, and grandparents, Erle and Evelyn Thompson and E. M. and Edna Jones.
She is survived by her Mother and Step-Dad, June and Crispin Green of Muleshoe, TX, a brother, Monty Jones and wife Cheryl of El Paso, TX, a sister, Tammy Jones of Lubbock, step-sister, Dorena Proudfoot and husband Mike of Sweetwater, TX, a step-grandmother, Ruby Green of Muleshoe and serveral nieces and one nephew.
