Services for Linda Jane (Kemp) Cozart, 69, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Horn officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Cozart died Saturday, July 18, 2015, in Lubbock, TX. She was born March 6, 1946 in Abernathy to Gene and Vessie (Pierson) Kemp. She married Jake Cozart, November 2, 1962 in Hale Center, he preceded her in death August 18, 1990. She moved to Abernathy in 1987 from Las Vegas, NV and had previously lived in Hale Center. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and The Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by 2 children, Cynthia Hart of San Leon, TX and Jerry Allen Cozart of Pampa, TX, 3 brothers, Porter Kemp and Robert Kemp both of Abernathy and Wayne Kemp of Lubbock, TX, 6 grandchildren, Chrissy Cozart of Abernathy, Jesse Lemonds of Lubbock, Andrea Schmidt and Ryan Schmidt both of Pampa, TX, Monique Cozart of Pahrump, NV and Jake Cozart of Hawaii, 10 great grandchildren, Carmen Cozart, Jacob Lemonds, Harillee Schmidt, Beau Connelly, Serena Schmidt, Huxley Schmidt, Paxton Schmidt, Braden King, Trey Stark and Payton Schmidt.
