Services for Bobby Carol Cloud, 79, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 6, 2014, in the Quaker Avenue Church of Christ, Lubbock, TX, with Brent Clark and Carey Jones officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm, Saturday, in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Ms. Cloud died Wednesday, December 3, 2014, in Plano, TX. She was born September 7, 1935 in Abernathy, TX to Carroll Lee and Katie Earlene (Heath) Owen. She was a lifelong Abernathy resident and was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Elbert E. Cloud on December 31, 1961 in Clovis, NM, and he preceded her in death December 6, 1995. She worked at Southwest Textiles retiring in 2006 and then worked for her brother-in-law at Willie Dunn Insurance Agency until 2008. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Carol Ann Cloud, January 6, 1964 and Quintin Jarrod Cloud on April 21, 1985 and 2 sisters, Floyce Gould and Betty Pearce. She is survived by 4 sons, Britt Cloud and wife Suzanne of Atlanta, GA, Wayne Cloud of Plano, TX, Corby Cloud and Robert Cloud and wife Alice all of Lubbock, TX, 4 sisters, Willene Dunn and husband Vester of Abernathy, Loyce Lenning and Paula Clark and husband Wayne all of Lubbock, and Diann Smith and husband Bill of Idalou, TX, 4 grandchildren, Brittany Ann, Hayden, Jared and Cameron. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Children's Home of Lubbock, P. O. Box 2824, Lubbock, TX 79408.
