Obituary of Angelina Solis

Services for Angelina Garcia Solis, 83, of Hale Center, TX were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in the First United Methdodist Church in Hale Center with Rev. Elias Moralez officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Solis died Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born August 2, 1927 in Temple, TX and was a longtime resident of Hale Center. She married Benito Solis, Jr. in 1951 in Temple, TX and he preceded her in death October 8, 1990. She was a nurse at Hi-Plains Hospital, Hi-Plains Nursing Home and later a home health provider. She is survived by 4 sons, Arthur Perez of Dixon, CA, Basilo Perez of Houston, TX, Ben Solis, III of San Diego, CA, Gene Solis of Lubbock, TX; 3 daughters, Marianne Kumley of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Avalos of Lubbock, TX, Susie Solis of Amarillo, TX; 3 brothers, Faustino Quintero of Eddy, TX, Jessie Quintero of Morgans Point, TX, Danny Quintero of Temple, TX; 5 sisters, Margaret Basaulda of Eddy, TX, Tila Moreno of Temple, TX, JoAnn Guaraldo of Houston, TX, Linda Guillen of Temple, TX, Molly Perlata of Copperas Cove, TX; 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
